The chic and ecologically conscious NV Gallery is a Parisian design agency specialising in quality artisanal furnishings. Sitting at the edge of La Place des Victoires, just steps away from the temple of Parisian decor, La Maison Sarah Lavoine, the NV Gallery is the latest hotspot to hit this design centric area. The recent arrival of the stunning flagship store has design lovers going wild, as it so beautifully shows the city how to create a chic Parisian decor. Founders Nathalie Hanczewski and Thibaut Saguet believe that appreciation for a life well-lived goes hand in hand with a life well-designed. They also believe everyone should be able to create a chic Parisian decor that highlights their own personality and taste.
So how does one create a chic Parisian decor? Parisian decor is well-known for its simple, yet extraordinarily chic allure. The starting point of any Parisian decor begins with a hunt for authentic artisanal pieces that possess a strong aesthetic appeal. The latest collections of NV Gallery focus on what they call, ‘The Authentic Journey’, which consists of taking a chic yet minimal approach to interior design by pairing simple sustainable objects – that are both artisanal and functional – with an unrivalled elegance that is just…Oh so French.
In the NV Gallery home, the living room is designed as a sanctuary with enough seating for the whole family. An oversized sectional Auster sofa takes centre stage, while the Midnight velvet bench creates a sophisticated contrast by the fireplace, and the rattan arm chair adds a bit of retro chic to the overall look. Parisians often use a stylish stool as an extra place to sit, so don’t hesitate to get a little glam in there with the Belar made of sexy black steel. Multi-functional pieces are always a good choice, like the open rattan buffet Rhea which can serve as a buffet, a bookshelf or even a bar cart. The show doesn’t stop there, as two sustainably produced coffee tables form an artistic junction in the middle of the room: a solid circle of grained wood made from recycled railroad tiles for the Beryl and a beige marble base with wooden top for the podium style Matteo.
Last but not least, add a sculptural element that really stands out and that also says something about you or your taste. The Senora end-table is the perfection addition to the room above as it adds a little style to the space. Throw a few rugs on the floors, pillows on the chairs, scatter a collection of ceramic vases on the mantle, and lay a few framed photos on the floor. The combination of organic elements help diffuse an atmosphere of tranquility and vitality, while the artisanal furnishings add an authentic feel to any contemporary space.
